Nelson got his start with the renowned Southern Land Company, based in Franklin, Tennessee. While there, Nelson won the Sizzle Award for Best Overall Design for his work on country star Kenny Chesney’s home. In 2011, he returned to Mississippi to launch his business. His work has been featured in several publications, including Mississippi Magazine, Stages Magazine and Mississippi Gardener. Nelson, his wife Wendy and their son Shelton and daughters Mahaley and Ellis call Madison, Mississippi home.
Jerry found his calling in design after searching for something that would tie his love for nature and creativity together. A recipient of the American Society of Landscape Architecture Award of Excellence, two ASLA Merit Awards, multiple departmental awards while at Mississippi State University, and his experience working alongside award winning Landscape Architects has prepared him to be a great asset to the talented Landscape Design Studio team. He and his wife Shannon, and two dogs, Meiko and Riley, call the Reservoir home.
